CHASES & RACES

 

A car crash is the turning point in the lives of 3 separate couples when the dying driver reveals the winners of tomorrow’s Mob-fixed horseraces.

1) a thirty-something couple, both single again for the second time, returning from a blind date from hell.

2) an older couple from New Brunswick near the end of an exhausting journey to a sister-in-law the husband despises.

 
3) a couple of young punks, a nasty little fascist and her dumb-ox boyfriend who were the cause of the crash.

 

The couples separate and resume their original journeys but complicated circumstances bring them all together again for the climactic events at the race track 13 hours later.

 

Complications begin when the intended beneficiary of the fixed race stumbles across the young punks, coerces them into helping track down the others, and falls in love with the dumb-ox.
